Sales Calls on 12/27? You Betcha!

So we’re winding down the year and in just a few days it will be the New Year.

Lots of folks are already on vacation, if not physically, then mentally and I guess that’s a good thing. I’ve been taking it a bit easy as well but one thing I haven’t done is slack off on sales. Nope, not at all.

Ya see, this is a truly GREAT time to reach out to existing clients, dormant accounts and those prospects you’ve been dying to penetrate. You can lead off with best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and then pick up with your “real” agenda, that being how and if you can work together in 2014.

And you know what….even if you don’t get to that business portion of the call, at least you reached out, made a connection, got on their radar screen and furthered your relationship. That’s true even if you simply left a voice mail message; after all, you got your voice into their ear and that’s always a positive thing.

So it’s almost the end of this last Friday before the New Year. I’m attending to emails and getting ready for client deliverables in early January but for a lot of today it was sales calls for me.
