So just imagine going into your client and singing Love to Love You Baby. You’d be cast out as certifiably insane.

But really, shouldn’t you be showing your clients the love all the time…maybe not singing about it…but actually showing them.

Because if you’re not, maybe, just maybe, your competition is doing so! Simple things like:

  • Say thank you.
  • Give them something for nothing.
  • Go over and beyond expectations.
  • If you have staff that interacts with customers then empower them to make the RIGHT decision.
  • Don’t penalize customers with “customer-unfriendly” policies and procedures. Make it easy to do business with your company.

Some folks think these are simply platitudes but are they? I think not. I think that the company (small or large) that walks the best of class customer service talk gets ahead and stays ahead of the competition.
